My biggest issue with my writing is going off subject. I often have many issues with taking to long to get to the point in a story but when answering questions I am very American or British way of writing, straight to the point.
I think many other people have an easy time writing a long drawn out explanation but I am not that way. As for class essays and papers I do have problem. Many times I am straight to the point and have difficulties dragging the papers out.
I am working on going more into depth in my papers but it is a struggle.

week 10 &11
WEEK 10
Perfection is my number one obstacle. Most of the time I need to see an example of what I am supposed to be doing, for example a essay for class or a drawing. I look for examples so I can be sure that I am doing it correctly.
I believe everyone would like to do the best they can but the more I look for perfection the less I find it. I also am constricted for time but I do my best to make time for my responsibilities.
WEEK 11
I think I am a bit of both sides. I like to organize but I also multi task. I am a very visual learner, like I said in week 10. I do try to memorize things I am learning and do as I go to learn more and gain more insight. My emotions get the best of me in situations but I am learning to rationalize more.

week 4
The 2008 NASW Delegate Assembly approved the following revisions to the NASW Code of Ethics:
1.05 Cultural Competence and Social Diversity
(c) Social workers should obtain
education about and seek to understand the nature of social diversity
and oppression with respect to race, ethnicity, national origin, color,
sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital
status, political belief, religion, immigration status, and mental or
physical disability.
2.01 Respect
(a)
Social workers should treat colleagues with respect and should represent
accurately and fairly the qualifications, views, and obligations of
colleagues.
(b) Social workers should avoid unwarranted negative criticism of colleagues in communications with clients or with other professionals. Unwarranted negative criticism may include demeaning comments that refer to colleagues’ level of competence or to individuals’ attributes such as race, ethnicity, national origin, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, political belief, religion, immigration status, and mental or physical disability.

4.02 Discrimination
Social workers should not practice,
condone, facilitate, or collaborate with any form of discrimination on
the basis of race, ethnicity, national
origin, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, political belief, religion, immigration status, or mental or physical disability.

6.04 Social and Political Action
(d)
Social workers should act to prevent and eliminate domination of,
exploitation of, and discrimination against any person, group, or class
on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, color, sex, sexual
orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status,
political belief, religion, immigration status, or mental or physical
disability.
It seems as if it is easy to follow these rules but I have
heard many professionals bad talking about others and I am curious as to how employers
make sure their employees are following these rules.
On another note I am very curious about occupational
therapy. How does social work and OT tie into together. What point do you
decided which you want to do?

Family Values
How does one choose their family values? What do you think makes somone talk the way they do or discipline their children the way they do?
I ask for advice on certain parenting topics all the time but I wonder what makes one advice "better" than the other? How do you compromise with your significant other on parenting aspects that differ from theirs? As a social worker would we deal with these kinds of issues? I think we would.

week 3
Living in a community where its common for many of our peers to live at home with their parents and have no responsibilities beyond getting to their part time J.O.B. (just over broke). I wonder what does it take and what should push some one to better themselves into having a career, going to school, or both? Does being "young and stupid" sound fun? sure Does having a steady income with my own home/apartment sound more appealing? You betcha!
I guess I just wonder at what point do parents step back and make rules for their children and their future?

week 1 spring 2013
Sleep. So important yet we take it for granted. Just a little thought.=]
School started Tuesday and with the new moodle it was off to a rough start, I'm still missing 2 classes but hopefully they'll be up soon.
Ethan, my 3 year old, also started his first day of preschool Tuesday. HOW EXCITING!!!! It's been a rough week but were hanging in.=]
